Background
I first came up with the idea for a web-based feedback tool in December of 2017, but at the time, I couldn't find a way to design it to avoid the challenges that make giving and receiving feedback difficult. I have been tinkering with it since then and now I think I have a working prototype that makes giving and receiving feedback much easier.
Today
The free version of the tool is working and available for everyone to use as often as they like. In May of 2022, I filed the paperwork to form How Would You Describe Me, Inc. as a nonprofit and I received the IRS determination letter in June. The Kickstarter campaign will launch on 10/11/22 to raise funds to build enhanced versions of the tool.
Tomorrow
Because we are a nonprofit, we cannot charge for the premium versions of the product, but we can ask for a donation. We plan to use those donations to fund the operational activities of the company. If donations exceed our expenses, then we will use the surplus to fund the development and hosting of additional products and services to the public for free.

Founder, CEOMatthew has worked for over 20 years in Information Technology in both consulting and in-house roles. His primary areas of focus are Cybersecurity, IT Strategy, and IT Project Management. He earned a BS degree from the University of Maryland in 1997 and an MBA from Duke University in 2011. While he has never worked in a software development role, he likes to tinker with fun little projects.
